The splurging continues....

On top of my recent splurges, I have also strayed considerably from my book buying hiatus.... The wait at the library has just been too long, which has forced me to shop at Borders (yes, I am being serious). Number six in line is just too long of a wait for me. I do not like waiting. ;)

I have bought these two books by Sarah Dessen...

(btw, off subject, but has anyone tried to get two pictures side by side in Blogger? This was my first attempt and although I somewhat succeeded I don't understand why Blogger doesn't make this easier to do!)

The first book from the Vampire Academy Series (can you tell I'm on a YA kick right now?)
And, today I picked up Audrey's Niffenegger's newest novel that released yesterday. I'M SO EXCITED TO READ THIS. (yes, that sentence deserved to be "shouted"). I loved The Time Traveler's Wife and I knew I would buy this the second (or day after) it came out. Just reading the inside of the book jacket had me intrigued. Keeping my fingers crossed it's a good one!
Have you bought any books lately?

I haven't bought any books lately because I just don't have time right now to read them. When I do want to read, I remind myself that I should be reading a textbook instead. Ugh, can't wait to graduate in May! That's one of the things I look forward to most..being able to have more time to read!

I'm looking forward to read your review for the Vampire Academy. I've never heard of it, but I'm on the vampire kick like the rest of the world right now so if it's good, then I'll definitely add it to my list of books to read!

Do you write reviews for the books you read? I know you have them listed to the side of what you're reading and last read, but I don't think I've ever seen a review.

No :-( I am on a massive waiting list at the library for about 5 books right now, but since starting school again I don't really have the TIME to read anything but textbooks so it's OK! Haha.

I just finished It Had To Be You. I loved it! It is defiantly a "chick lit" book.

I'm reading Time Traveler's Wife now...I like it, but not as much as most people seem to. I think I just need to get more into it. I'm having a hard time making sense of this whole time traveling thing...I guess you're not supposed to think about the logistics of everything much. But I do like both of the main characters.

I bought a Sarah Dessen book at Target (can't remember which one; I will let you know!) and I also bought that new Marilyn Monroe book. This is the first time I am not on a waiting list at the library. I finally got through all my "holds" and am now going to be focusing on some books I bought this summer, including Jennifer Weiner's new book, Sophie Kinsella's new book, and Beth Harbison's new book, Hope in A Jaar. Oh, and I think I have two books from Amazon that I need to read........

I am in the 2nd Harry Potter book! I have them all (I think) downstairs and also the first Sookie book. I need to take more time to read if I expect to finish all of these!!!

The easiest way to edit pictures is to go to the edit html page. It looks scary at first, but its really not. On that page for each you'll see something like height=400px and width=200px. On that page you can manually make those numbers small see the two pictures are small enough to fit. Just remember if you decrease the height from 400 to 300, you'll have to decrease the width by the same percentage, so 200 to 150. You might have to play with the numbers to get them to work. You can hit preview, but it won't really show you how it looks in your frame. I normally wind up republishing my blogs a few times until I get it right. Let me know if that works for you, or if you have questions!

Yep. Totally broke my book buying hiatus. I bought "I see you everywhere" by Julia Glass yesterday and today I bought "A year of magical thinking". But I had a gift card for the 2nd one, so that didn't really cost me anything!

Everyone raves about these Sarah Dessen books! I afraid to check them out as I might get hooked and go on an even worse book buying spree!
