Seriously, I should have taken the weekend off and participated in the 24 hour-read-a-thon!
Here is a picture of my stack of books that are next up...
In this list is:
Retail Hell by Freeman Hall borrowed from Lesli! Thanks Lesli, you're so sweet! :)
Last Christmas by Kate Brian (library)
Wicked by Nancy Holder and Debbie Viguie (purchased)
Sloppy Firsts and Second Helpings by Megan McCafferty (library)
Perfect You by Elizabeth Scott (library)
Mommywood by Tori Spelling (library)
A Touch of Dead by Charlaine Harris (library)
Beautiful Disaster by Kate Brian (library)
Paradise Lost by Kate Brian (library)
Vampire Academy by Richelle Mead (purchased)
Shadow Kiss and Frostbite by Richelle Mead (library)
I See You Everywhere by Julia Glass (library)
This Lullaby by Sarah Dessen (purchased)
Her Fearful Symmetry by Audrey Niffenegger (purchased)
Theeeeeeen I have several on hold at the library. Many of those books on hold are books I need to read BEFORE I can read the books on this list! Such as Revelation and Ambition by Kate Brian (which I just got the email notice that they are in). Oh, and I heard about the books by P.C. Cast (House of Night series) and I just had to put them ALL on hold at the library. Of course, I am number 1 for them all so they will all come in at the same time, I'm sure. Am I getting out of hand? Yes? I am officially obsessed. It's all fun though! I am achieving my goal of reading more and watching less tv so it's a good cause, right? :)
As you can see, I really utilize the library. Many times I am at the top of the list for books and it doesn't take long at all for them to come in. I do buy a lot of books, but I don't really see the point if I can get it for free at the library. Although for my favorite authors, I do buy their books because I want to!
Here is a bigger picture of my bookshelf.
Besides my favorite authors' books I tend to give away/swap lots of books so if you're wondering if there's anything I have that you're wanting I would be happy to send it your way!

Have you ever heard of swaptree? It's a website that I am HUGE fan of...www.swaptree.com. Basically, it's a huge network for trading books, dvds, cds, and video games. You just make a profile, then make a list of all the items you have using the ISBN on the backs of the books. You also make a list of all the things you want to get and swaptree finds you trades. All you pay for is postage and you can send them media mail (about $2.75 a book) with labels you can print off the computer.
My TBR is 2 full shelves of a bookshelf. And yet, I continue to buy, buy, buy. I was also using the library quite a bit this summer, but it started to stress me out because all the books would become available at the same time, and some were on a wait list so you couldn't renew them. So I stopped adding books to my requests until I could get caught up!!
Who gets stressed out by the library. Seriously.
wow, that's a lot of TBR books! I literally haven't touched The Bell Jar in like over a month... it's horrible! School work takes over my life!
I've been thinking I'd be kind of tun to read Mommywood, but haven't attempted to yet. Have you her first book already?
Your book case looks just like mine- crammed to the gills. I need to read more again! Growing up I read non-stop: on the bus, at dinner, when I was supposed to be asleep, when I was supposed to be paying attention in class...somehow time flies and we get sucked into other things! Its always so interesting to see what other people are reading though!
Mommywood is a quick, sweet and easy read! I spent Sunday catching up on my mile high pile of fashion mags!
LOVE IT! Ohhh, everything looks so good!
I can't wait to read Tori Spelling's books.
Also, my review of Last Christmas (so good) is up on Cover to Cover...don't read it though unless you know everything that happens to Ariana in the Private series!
I see Retail Hell on top of the stack!! I also love Megan McCafferty's book and her retro blog. I believe it is www.meganmccafferty.com. She is hilarious!
PS. Mommywood was pretty good, too!
I should really try the library, I'm just always afraid I won't finish the book in time or be late or something. It's crazy that I have anxiety about the library...
Wow! You do have a big reading list! I love tori spelling. Her first book was great! Let us know about the 2nd!
I always love seeing other peoples bookshelves! lol I'll get a better look at my TBR piles this weekend when I can unpack all my books, YAY!
Looks like you have a great books there to read, many that I have to read myself. :o)
Love this post!!! I have soooo many books to read, I should do a post about it too!
Dang, that is a lot of books. I am going to add some of these to my Kindle to check out some samples.
