Blogging in bed

I did have a really dirty title, but I erased it... if only I had the courage to actually post some of the dirty stuff that runs through my mind sometimes. LOL!

I'm sick and blogging from bed today. I am home from work for half the day, but I'm not sick, as in throwing up sick, I have a toothache. Again.

Remember that awful toothache I had back in September? It's back with a vengeance. That tooth had always been sensitive and sometimes hurt for short amounts of time but yesterday I woke up and it was throbbing and I could tell my gums were swollen by the way I couldn't bite down properly. I called the dentist and he referred me back to the endodontist. The endodontist (who's name is Dr. Lilly. I just like saying his name) immediately prescribed me some amoxicillin and said the earliest I could get in was Monday. He thinks it might be the tooth next to the one that gave me problems due to it having such a large filling. I got the amoxicillin yesterday and started taking it right away and it helped a little. At least, I think I did. That might be in my head because I think it takes a couple days for it to really start working. This morning I woke up around 3am unable to sleep because it hurt so bad. I stumbled into the bathroom and found some pm medicine and that did the trick. I was able to sleep, but when I woke up I knew that I wasn't making it to work. Luckily, I have lots of sick time and it's such a slow time of the year for my store so it was pretty convenient to call. I do have to go in tonight for a few hours and my boss will be in my store tomorrow so I have to make sure everything is ship shape. :)

So, here I am. Blogging from bed. I did end up calling Dr. Lilly back and asking him for something stronger to take for the pain and he prescribed hydrocodone. I took some about an hour ago and it's seeming to really help. I can't bite down without searing pain, but I think that's normal...(I may have been wishing he would have prescribed Vicodin... don't judge me. That stuff is handy to have around for bad cramps, migraines...etc).

I've got a good book next to me, Libby curled up in a ball, the windows open and a gorgeous 70 degree breeze blowing in... it's going to be hard to pry myself out of bed and into work tonight...

Do you have a dirty mind? Are you one of those people that blurts it out or do you just giggle to yourself a little bit?

Since I live with two boys, I have the dirtiest mind! Depending on whose company I am in, I either blurt it out or giggle to myself.

Tooth aches are the WORST. That sucks.

I am the girl that says something and doesn't realize it can be twisted into something dirty/inappropriate. I used to have lunch w/ a group of guys in my old dept and I swear I always would say something inadvertently. It got to be a bit of a game & they would try to pick apart things I had said to make them sound dirty.

In general, though, I have a moderately dirty mind!

I totally have to sensor myself when I want to type the dirty things in my mind too. Especially now that my mom reads my blog. Would be tres awkward. lol

Hope your tooth gets better!!!

I'm guilty of a dirty mind, but I try not to think that way! Haha. It depends on who I'm with whether or not I blurt it out or hold it in.

I DO have a dirty mind-hee hee!

but I think I keep it pretty well hidden except around those who know me the best

Hope you feel better soon. Yeah, Vicodin. I had some when I had to have a a crown about 5 years ago & that stuff made me all fuzzy and I did not care about anything at all...except I also remember it made me nauseous. But basically, it was good so no wonder people can become addicted to pain pills.

Girl, you know me. My mind is always in the gutter! Depending on company, I love to blurt it out -- or if someone else says something and I take it to have a perverted undertone, I LOVE to snicker about it. (Whether they meant it "that way" or not!)

I guess I'm super mature. ;)

Feel better!

Love the kitty! :)

I'm the opposite--super naive and say stuff that makes everyone else giggle... and I don't get it!

How awful! Hopefully you're able to go to the endodontist and get it all figured out and avoid having a root canal. I guess I've been somewhat lucky with my teeth, in that that I've had a million cavities and several times I've been told I was really close to a root canal. But even though I've had countless (and I do mean countless) fillings, I've never really had any bad toothaches.

As for my thoughts, well I'm always forgetting to sensor myself when I'm talking. It's never anything too crazy, but afterwards I always tend to wish I had said whatever it was just a little more tactful.

LOL - I have such a dirty mind and now I'm trying to think of what you originally intended to say!

Hope you feel better soon - toothaches are the worst!
