I hate the games!
That guy I mentioned before? We had been emailing since, oh I think Tuesday or Wednesday and last night he asked me if I would like to go to a concert with him on Saturday night. I honestly couldn't decide if I should say yes or no considering it was such short notice. Now, technically I didn't have plans besides having to work until 6pm on Saturday leaving plenty of time to make it to the concert, so that left no reason why I shouldn't say yes.
This morning I replied to his email around 10 am and said yes, that would be great. I figured I shouldn't play games and just do what I want to do. I didn't have plans, I knew the band and would like to see them. In his email from Thursday night he gave me his phone number so in my reply I gave him my phone number and said to get in touch if he would like. LIterally an hour later he texted me.
He said, "Hey Amber! How's ur day so far?"
About 15 minutes later I replied and said, "Hi! Not too bad, just running some errands before work!"
Then..... nothing! I haven't heard back from him!
Was it because I didn't give him a reason to respond? Should I have asked him how his day was going? Looking back, I think I should have. But then again, looking back I think.... Whoa, here you go again, over analyzing. AGAIN! It's a disease that medication should cure. Which, come to think of it, there probably is.... but that is a totally different post.
Argh... Well, now I'm curious. Do I plan on going with him? I'm a little annoyed now... If something else comes up for tomorrow night I'm not going to say no. He should have confirmed the plans if he was serious!
What do you guys think? I'm beginning to think I may have wasted too much money on Match.com. Sigh.

sometimes i find with guys that unless you DO ask them a direct question, they won't reply. perhaps, if you still haven't heard from him, you should just ask what the plans are. that way he either has to ignore you and is clearly an ass, get back to you and cancel, or will let you know what is happening...
let us know what happens anyway!
It could be because you said you were going to work. Maybe he thought you were going to be busy and wouldn't be able to respond or that you would get in trouble for texting. I wouldn't worry about it too much. I would send him a text later and be like um hey are we still on for tonight?
personally, I'd wait to hear from him. If he's serious about getting to know you and go out, then he'll be contacting you. i hope it works out!
Maybe he was just texting to make sure he had your number right. Since you responded, he knew he did and there wasn't really a response needed for your text message. Although I'm sure a response would have been much appreciated. I'd say you should definitely still go to the concert with him and see what happens. Worst case, you still got to go to a concert.
It's quite possible your text got lost in cyberspace, that happens sometimes. Maybe try resending the same text and then if he mentions it (which he probably wouldn't) you could say it was your phone. My phone just did that to my friend last night!!
Or you could just text him again, asking him how his days going? I wouldn't be worried about texting him more than once! You don't want to play games, right!!
Booo I hate games too! And if you're going to be the one to initiate conversation and don't really want to talk - don't start it! Boys are clueless :)
So.... did you go to the concert?
I am a little far behind in reading....did you go? How did it turn out?
call him...NO texting :)
What an ass!! Men always play these stupid games. And all it leads me to believe is that they must have ten girls going and I'm on the back burner.
I know I definitely end up feeling like shit. In either case... you did nothing wrong. You didn't need to say anything different, he just sucks!
And, yes, match is a waste of money. LOL
