I am so excited to see Wicked this weekend! It feels like we purchased our tickets so long ago, which, I guess we did. We bought them back in the spring around the time I went to see Mama Mia!
I am going with my Mom and my Grandmother who have both seen it once already. It will be my first time. My dad has read the book (seriously, the man reads everything!) and he swears that we should read the book before seeing it so we understaaaaand what is going on. He's more passionate about reading books before seeing movies (or plays in this case) than I am! Now, that's pretty bad...
Have any of you seen it? Read the book? If so, do you have an opinion ?

I haven't read the book. I have read his book Mirror, Mirror and tried to read Confessions of an Ugly Stepsister, but really couldn't get into it. I have have Wicked is a lot better than those two, so maybe I should give it a chance. I've always heard great things about the musical. I hope you guys have a blast!
I saw the musical twice before I tried to read the book. I made it about half was through the book and hated it. I enjoyed the musical much more and I usually enjoy books more than movies or musicals.
I absolutely loved the musical!!!
I watched the musical in London recently, and it was all kinds of amazing! you will love it, fersuure :D
Have fun!
OMG Wicked is the BEST musical! I go to the Fox a lot (StL) and Wicked by far has been my favorite show to see. It moved me. I'm sure the good seats and good company and that particular cast all played into it, but really, you will LOVE it. Oh, and I have the book, but haven't read it. I have it on my list. Have fun!
Have a great time! It's amazing!
I'm so jealous that you're getting to see this show!! I want to see it sooo bad! I'm your scarf swap partner by the way! Look forward to getting to know you :)
Saw the show last Fall in Minneapolis..and it was really good. I loved Glinda the Good Witch. Haven't read the book--I heard it was pretty dark.
Gave you an Awesome Girl Award! Check it out at: http://sonjas30before30.blogspot.com/2009/09/thanks-to-danielle-over-at-delightfully.html
By the way, I was kicking myself for not seeing Wicked in Omaha a couple months ago. From what I hear, it is well worth it!
I haven't seen it but everyone raves about it! I actually own the book. I got it at a Christmas Book Party exchange like, oh, 5 years ago? Whoopsies. It's on my to-be-read' shelf. I think I tried to start it back when I first got it and just couldn't get into it, but I know I need to give it another shot!
I LOVED seeing this musical...in fact my husband said he would go again if I wanted!!!! Cute blog btw:-)

The musical was great!! I tried to read the book but couldn't get into it and I'm usually one who reads books before movies/ plays.
Enjoy!

I have and read the book but haven't seen the musical. The musical is actually going on right now in Seattle and my co-worker went. The book is quite involved and they obviously could not fit it all in. If you're really interested into getting all the small details, I highly recommend the book. It even has a couple of sequels!
I've been reading the book for a while now... I just can't seem to finish it. The play is coming in February and the tickets went on sale last week... I told The Boyfriend I wanted tickets for my birthday so we'll see!
