If you remember, a few weeks ago I did BCF about The Bungalow by Sarah Jio, so when Emily's book club at The Many Thoughts of Reader chose Sarah Jio's first book, The Violet's of March for their March read (convenient, no?) I was really excited!I devoured this book in a about a day (just like The Bungalow!) and absolutely fell in love with the story and the way that Sarah Jio tells a story!

This book was almost as much about the island it was set on as it was the story and since reading this book I have not been able to stop thinking about visiting this place! It sounds like the perfect place to just relax and do pretty much nothing for a week! Between the mystery of the story and the allure of this island I was hooked by the first chapter and after both this and The Bungalow, Sarah Jio is among one of my favorites!
Definitely look into this one if you want a fast, engaging read!

I really enjoyed this book, too! It was a fast, captivating read. Becky also lent me The Bungalow so I will check that out as well!
4 books that I frequently recommend are Without Reservations (travel memoir), Every Last One, and City of Thieves, and The Art of Racing in the Rain.

I haven't read that one. I am on a no-buying-books-spree this year and they didn't have this one at my local library. I will have to get it someday! I have been failing on the Book Club the past couple of months!
I'm sure you already read The Glass Castle? It was disturbing but good. Also, Corelli's Mandolin is probably one of my favorite books. A Greek Island, WWII, love between a mismatched pair, Politics....

I loved, loved this book! I flew through it too and read most of it on a glorious Saturday morning, ah memories of two weeks ago haha.
Anyway, I want to read Bungalow but I am waiting for it at the library :)
I go to Bainbridge Island all the time! I want to read it now!
