Many of you have switched over to Wordpress recently and it's something I have been giving a lot of thought to as well.
As most of you know, I made my blog available to some of my IRL friends and even posted it on my Facebook page but quickly took it down out of paranoia. Well, now I feel like I can't say all I want to say or talk about things that are going on in my life in fear of who might be reading. I do use sitemeter and can sort of figure out if anyone I actually know in person is reading, but I can't be 100% sure. I'm basically regretting it 100%, it's something I can't take back and has been bothering me for some time now.
I want my blog to be just for me and YOU GUYS. I love your unbiased opinions and your unconditional support. Seriously, love it. Quitting this blog literally gets me choked up every time I think about it because it's become a big part of my daily life. That may be dorky to my IRL friends, but I don't care. Call me a dork! :)
I guess what I want to know is, for those of you that have made the switch from Blogger to Wordpress, how did it go? Is it time consuming? Can I upload my posts from Blogger to Wordpress? Do you like it better?
All I know is I need to do something because these paranoid feelings aren't going anywhere and I really hate it. Hate it to the point where I almost delete TONS of posts because I'm afraid of hurting someone.
The thing is I don't want to delete them because that would mean deleting all your wonderful comments as well and I go back and look at them when I'm needing encouragement, which lately, is a lot.

I've been in the process of switching from blogger to wordpress for WEEKS now. Wordpress is really confusing but I think once I get the hang of it I will like it better!
I know what you mean, my blog has always been accessible to everyone. And while I don't really care that much, there are times that I want to rant about Eric or my family and can't because I don't want to hurt anyones feelings! Sometimes I wish my blog was anonymous but for the most part I don't mind friends and family reading it!
"I have thought about switching over too.... can you upload your posts from blogger to wordpress?"
I do not know, but I was a nerd and bought the wordpress for dummies, so if I read anything about it I'll let you know. and wordpress is so much better than blogger! I'm loving it. I was actually able to set up an acct pretty easily- over two days :)
Also one last thing, if you do change, please be kind and let me know so I can update your link on my blogroll :D
Oh man. Everyone is moving :( Will I be the only one left on Blogger?!!?
I don't mind if my IRL friends read my blog. I'm an open book and they end up hearing the stories too. Although there is one thing I wish I could blog about but can't because no one is meant to know.... damn it!
If you move please tell me!!
I have no idea. Why is word press better? I hope not everyone leaves me here alone. I love the community feel! xo
I only know Blogger! Maybe you could have 2 blogs, and put one on Word Press, although I guess that does sound complicated. Although I do know someone who has recently started an anonymous blog in addition to her regular blog. No, it's not me, silly!!! But let us know what you decide to do.
I can totally identify about the IRL friends. Two people I have never met but I KNOW quite well... I guess I can say two people that know my identity know my blog url and read often... but I am TERRIFIED of IRL people finding it. Would never post a real pic! I think a move could be fantastic if it would let you be more open and free... after all, isn't that what this bloggy life is about?
I'v thought of switching over too- I guess it's the whole "learning how to do it over again". I've heard wordpress is great though- maybe one day I'll switch over :D
I will absolutely let you all know if I switch! I don't think I could handle more than one blog, as much as I wish I could! Maybe someday when I'm independently wealthy! Ha! :)
Larissa, I have looked at that book before at Barnes and Noble, let me know if it's worth it to buy!
Pursuit, being completely anonymous is one of the reasons I want to switch. I'm not sure anymore who "irl" I know is reading this and it totally freaks me out!
I'm loving blogspot. I don't think I would ever switch. I love these people too much.
Why don't you just make your blog private? Then you have control as to who is reading it.
