Ay yi yi! It's already the end of Tuesday! Holy buckets. Everyone said student teaching would fly by, and I have to admit, I doubted them. Really doubted them. But, they were RIGHT. This is my fourth week of student teaching and that hardly seems possible! I absolutely adore the school I am at, and I know I will miss it terribly when I head to my second placement in four weeks.
I love it so much, I had to control my cheesy grin and urge to hug the principal when she offered me a chance to interview for one of the two fifth grade positions that will be open next year! She asked me if I was interested on Thursday and on Monday (yesterday) I interviewed. My very first, full blown teaching interview! Boy, oh boy, was it intense. I am still coming off the intensity, but I honestly feel I did as well as I possibly could have. I should find out by the end of this week or early next week. Please keep me in your thoughts and prayers! I feel so good in this school and I know it would be a great fit for me!
Switching gears a bit here, but I think I have a giveaway winner to announce! I'm sorry this is so late, but I put the number of the comments into random.org and #5 was drawn, which means..... Lisa is the winner!! Woo hooo! Congratulations, Lisa! I will get you your goodie bag out in the mail soon! :)
Thank you to everyone that entered and has stuck around! If you're not already, please find me on Twitter and Instagram! My username is IowaAmber.
Hope you're having a great week!

Good luck! I hope to read that you got the job!
Woo hoo on the interview! What school? I'll be praying for you! PS One of the best things about student teaching are snow days. A day off you don't have to make up!
my early childhood student teaching went so fast i have no idea how i did it ha.
I highly recommend you write the questions down (that you remember) so if you interview again in the future you'll have an idea of the answers you want to give. Especially also if where you apply has online applications and you have to store your answers.
Good luck on the interview - can't wait to hear!
Woo hoo! That is exciting that I won! :) Thanks for hosting this giveaway.
I am SO glad that student teaching is going so well! And that is awesome that you got an opportunity to interview. I really really really really hope you get the job. That would be the best feeling to have something lined up. It must really feel great to have things like that happen as it just reinforces that you made the right decision to go into teaching. I am glad this school/principal recognized you for the gem that you are!
I'll be thinking of you! Hope you get it!!
Good luck! Teaching jobs in a school you enjoy and with administrators you like can be very hard to find. I hope it works out well for you!
Yay Lisa! And yay for you getting an interview already. That is amazing! My school is no where near thinking about interviewing for next year already, but how awesome would that be if you knew you had a job already!? I can't wait to hear! :)
Good luck! Exciting...!! :-)
I hope you got the job!
