I'm a huge fan of historical fiction - especially WWII. This didn't have a lot of history in it, but there was a little bit!
This book hooked me right away, as Anne is a very likable character and I read The Bungalow within 24 hours a couple weeks ago. Since then I haven't been able to stop thinking about it. I definitely recommend this one to just about any woman, it has just the right amount of mystery, romance, tragedy and friendship.

Whenever I see Sarah Jio's books I also feel like I know her because I remember reading her Glamour blog a year or two ago. I'm guessing you probably feel somewhat similar since I'm pretty sure that's how we "meet," right?
so going on my list!! i love hisorical fiction :) i actually read a wwII centered novel this week too (the soldier's wife) and really enjoyed it.

This book sounds so good! I can't wait to read it. Becky was kind enough to mail this & Violets of March! I have 2 books from the library that i have to read first (including The Lover's Dictionary, which i requested after you reviewed it!), and then i am reading those 2 books! Can't wait! And judging from the comments on Emily's blog, I have a feeling we'll be reading Violets in March!
