First date!

I'm being such a bum today... basically a repeat of this day.

Last night I went out with a guy that I had been emailing with for the past couple weeks. We met at a Mexican restaurant, near the mall where I work. The date lasted only two hours and at first I was worried he wasn't that interested because it seemed like a short date.

But once I got home I got a cute text from him thanking me for going out and he said he was really nervous. How cute is that? I was nervous too! I absolutely despise first dates. They're so uncomfortable... I wish we could just jump to date three!

I do have a couple of concerns about him, but I'm hoping they don't turn into deal-breakers... if things continue I will definitely fill you all in! For now, I'm just going to wait and see. He's been texting me this evening so that's a good sign!

I don't have any crazy first date stories (besides a guy that tried to get me to eat frog legs) do you?

this is really bad...me and dude ended up getting drunk and he threw up all over my car and then passed out. It must have been fate, I married him and we lived happily ever after {so far anyway!}. hahahahaha

Yay! I'm glad it was a good date!

I once went out with a guy (blind date) and he sneezed on my food. Then he just pretended nothing happened and went on eating his food suprised when I pushed mine away. At the end of the date he was all "I had such a great time, I can't wait to see you again..." I had no comment.

Oo, keep us posted. I like the text at the end of the night. Very thoughtful. :)

I haven't been on any really terrible dates. I did have one date that wanted to debate religion and tried to argue that Catholicism was not a Christian denomination. wtf? So yah, I practically ran out of that date.

i had my first date with my husband at a mexican place and I ended up having way too many margaritas (I was 18 btw) and getting completely wild and crazy! Couldn't have been too bad because we got married!! Good Luck!! I wish you all the best!!!

I had a first/blind date that was pretty bad. I worked with his sister and she set it up. He came straight from work (which was a cookie store) and he smelled like different cookie doughs, which sounds good but really wasn't. We had to stop at his place (which was the fraternity house) where I had to meet another five or six guys and then off we went for dinner. The best part? We never got to dinner because his car ran out of gas and his comment was "oops, I meant to fill up the tank earlier". Ugh, I will always remember that and be thankful that 15 years later, I am very happy married to a wonderful man! Good luck with the dates...I'll keep checking!
