How about a little update, eh? Things have been busy, busy! I'm so happy November is almost over and I cannot wait until January. There's lots of exciting things happening and I just can't wait. I can't spill all the beans just yet, but don't worry. I will! :)
Other than that, here's a few other things that have been going on. Bullet point style. ;)
♥ I joined Weight Watchers. A lot of people think I'm crazy and I don't need to, but I know I need to. And, I want to. In a few months time I know I will not be as active as I am now so I want to take care of my bad little lifestyle habits now, before it gets really out of control. My sister and best friend are also in it so it's nice to support them.
♥ School is going GREAT. I have As in both my classes, and hopefully I can keep them through December. The last month of the semester is heavy with projects and finding the time to do them has been HARD!
♥ For my special education class I spent 10 hours doing some field experience at my elementary school in their Learning Center! It was such a great experience! I have loved every second of it. I'm having a few doubts about special ed, but I'm hoping as I continue my education I can squash those doubts. What I'm most nervous about is the behavior issues. I'm more interested in the intellectual disabilities, specifically Autism.
♥ Last week my sister and I went to see Harry Potter on opening night! It was NUTS! We got there a little under TWO HOURS early and the theater we were supposed to be in was packed. The only seats available were right in front of the screen. Uhh, uhhh! So, we "snuck" into a different theater and got much better seats.
♥ Things with Nick are still going strong. We're moving slow and I really like that. I've been feeling bad though, because I have been so busy I hardly have any time, my only weeknight free is Monday nights! (and I have to somehow fit studying in!).
♥ I have not bought one Christmas gift. Not one. I've been thinking about it though... my mental list is very strong. I'm being a total grinch and this is the first year in my entire life that I just want Christmas to be over with!
Well, that is what's been going on with me. What's going on with you?? Tell me in the comments if you have started your Christmas shopping or are you a procrastinator like me?
Ah I have been waiting for an update from you! :) I really think weight watchers is a good thing for everyone I know who has used it. My friend Ali started it this summer and she feels better and is so much more confident (she didnt fully need it but she looks great!) I think its great to get those habits out of the way :)
ReplyDeleteand I am so glad for you and Nick! Slow and steady wins the race!
Happy Thanksgiving!!!

It sounds like you've been a busy girl!!! Glad things are going well though!!! Have a great Thanksgiving!
ReplyDeleteGlad to hear all is well you busy little bee :)
ReplyDeleteI want to know your exciting news now! I'm so nosy.. :) Good job with the As! And moving slow is always a good thing. I've gone Christmas shopping with my mom for gifts from the fam to some people, and I've bought gifts for myself from some family members... but I haven't bought anything for anyone else yet. Woops! I will next time I'm shopping :)
ReplyDeleteYay! You updated!! I have not started my Christmas shopping yet, but on the other hand, I don't have a really big list of people to buy for either. My girlfriends & I like to go out for brunch at the holidays and not really go overboard with exchanging gifts. Gift cards are nice. My husband buys for his side of the family - I don't have much input and now that the nieces are getting older, they don't want Barbies--boo!!! So I just have to buy for my mom and my husband. My mom is easy - a book, some chocolate, some socks--ha ha! And my husband--well, I usually go the gift card route. We would rather take a nice trip together and not go too crazy on gifts, but of course my list of what I want HIM to buy ME is a different story!

I haven't done any Christmas shopping yet either, so you're not alone there.
ReplyDeleteI also have not bought a single gift... I have thought about it but just have not gotten around to going to the mall yet!
ReplyDeleteI don't know that I've bought anything either- I think I've just thought about it a lot!
ReplyDeleteI think you will love special ed with autism especially. I have had several kids with autism in my class because we have the program at our school. The behavior problems CAN be tough but for the most part you should have enough support, and behavior plans can work really well with kids with autism. Plus kids with autism are just for the most part hilarious and will keep you entertained all the time :)
Good luck on WW. It's a great way to learn about portion control which is what I need the most help with.
