Whew! Five day stretch of daily blogging... are you proud? I am feeling pretty good about it! I'm loving your responses and so far it's definitely stirring my love for blogging.
Ahhh, warm fuzzies. :)
So for day five I am supposed to discuss my sibling! Singular, because I've just got one! ;)
My sister is four years younger than me and is seriously one of the coolest people I know. Although, we couldn't be more different and for many years we didn't mesh well and actually... we still don't mesh well. When we're fighting, just get out. Turn your phone off and get far, far away. It's going to be a blowout.
Things are better though. Don't worry! We actually live together now and it's going very well. About six months ago my sister's roommate bailed on her and my sister pretty much freaked out because she couldn't find another roommate and couldn't afford to live on her own. At the time I was living alone and my lease was almost up. I knew that I might be going back to school and I wouldn't be able to afford luxuries like living alone anymore so I decided to get a place with her. We're doing great and have only had one blowout so far. (That is a major accomplishment for us!)
My sister is super messy and I am very neat. She is a social butterfly, where as I am not the life of the party. My sister is naturally athletic and I am kind of a klutz. My sister is about 5"8' and I am under 5"3'.
But, at the end of the day she is my sister and I would bend over backwards for her! :)

What kind of a relationship do you have with your siblings?
Cute post! So fun to learn more about the bloggers I read! I think a little sibling fighting is always to be expected. :)
ReplyDeleteThat's cute! You guys sound like how my sister and I are were. We don't really see eye to eye on a lot of things now but were working on it :)
ReplyDeleteI have 4 siblings - 3 older, 1 younger. I have always been pretty close with one of my brothers but have gotten closer to the eldest one in the last year or so. He is 10 years older than me so he was out of the house when I was really 'coming into my own' and then moved to Chicago when I was still in HS so the only time I saw him was when I was around my parents and I really think you need time around your sibling w/out a parent to really get closer. I try to visit him & his wife/son once a year. I am not at all close with my older sister. We are like oil/water. I don't think we will ever be close but I of course love her and respect her as a person. We are just so different.
ReplyDeleteThen there is my youngest sister. I think we are almost TOO similar which caused a heck of alot of fights when we were younger (and really up until about 2 years ago we still got into huge fights). now I consider her one of my best friends and wished she lived here and not in Tucson!
Another fun topic! Great getting to know you better!
My younger brother and I have a pretty good relationship. We can make fun or each other without taking it too seriously and he can approach me for advise whenever he needs it.
ReplyDeleteIn ways we're very different but our wacky sense of humour brings us together :)
I have a sister that is 4 years younger than I am. We used to fight like crazy and now we get along pretty well. I dont know if i could live with her though.
ReplyDeleteI also have a half sister that is 10 and a stepbrother that is 11. We like to keep the age pool diversified in my family.
I don't have any siblings. That's so cool that you have a sister!
ReplyDeletei love the pictures:) so cute. :)smiles, gina
ReplyDeleteOh man, my siblings would take a novel. I MUST do this project.
ReplyDeleteSo I'm totally loving your challenge and decided to do it on my blog too! I'm sending peeps your way also! Hope ya don't mind! :)
