So yesterday, around 5pm I'm lounging on the patio trying to soak up the little bit of sun that was left for the day and this email comes through from Cy's good friend...
Yo Yo, how are you doing? long time no talk. Are you having a good summer? Mine has been pretty good so far. Hey got a question for you. I have been murin to watch some west wing and i went over to Cy's and he thought maybe he left it at your house. Do you happen to have the seasons? Let me know. i need a west wing fix ha ha. Anyway have a good one.
So, as many of you know The West Wing was one of Cy's favorite shows and I had never seen it, so we were watching all of the seasons together. I had just finished season 3 and all of them were at my place.
Since he broke up with me through text message and email and continued to ignore me after I said we needed to sit down and talk plus exchange personal belongings I did not have a chance to return his things, which included the dvds. What was I supposed to do? Personally bring them over to his house? Oh, hell no. I wasn't making things easier on him.
Cy has already proven very well what a coward he is, but this just proves he also has no balls. Seriously? You have your friend email me asking for your dvds back? Seriously? It's possible that this really is his friend talking, but I truly doubt it. I was livid last night and had no idea how to respond. So, I didn't.
I'm not sure if I will respond either. Besides, I don't even have the dvds anymore. If he really wants them, I'm sure he can go find them... at the city dump.
What would you all do? Do I reply to his friend or just leave it alone? I want to remain classy with my head held high, yet still be assertive. Help!
I would say this..
ReplyDeleteHey, good to hear from you. I'm sorry but I no longer have those DVDs. I tried contacting Cy about exchanging our things and he never got back to me. I have sense moved and didn't have room to move them with me. I'm sorry.

Classy and acknowledges douchebag move on his friends part.
that's a tough one. I would just be the bigger person. I would Email his friend and just say that you tried to contact him to return his stuff but he never contacted you back so you got rid of them. This way you still look like you were the adult in the relationship and at least tried and it shows them that you were done with him and didn't feel the need to hang on to his stuff!
ReplyDeletegood luck!
I would just ignore the email. If it's really his friend writing it, then I doubt Cy even wants them back. He probably just said, "You can email her if you want, but I'm not gonna mess with it."
ReplyDeleteIf it's Cy behind it, then he needs to man up and call/email you himself. Either way, I'd just not respond.
I honestly think you should write back saying exactly what you said at the end of this post. Be all nice and sweet
ReplyDelete"Hey, my summer is going good. Busy working and going to the lake.
I actually don't have Cy's DVD's anymore but he can find them at the city dump.
Have a good summer!"
Hehehehe. Would be priceless.
Of course, you could always not write back too. That works :P
Seriously, I cannot believe what an ASSHOLE Cy has turned out to be!
Ignore him!!! Seriously! and dont give them back until Cy gets off his own ass and asks you for them.
ReplyDeleteIgnore him!!! Seriously! and dont give them back until Cy gets off his own ass and asks you for them.
ReplyDeletehahahaha...you rock. i agree with amber to be nice to her and tell her he can find his stuff at the city dump. you aren't his storage unit and you tried to exchange stuff, but he is a douchebag. don't let it bother you though. that girl has balls to ask you for the dvd's.
ReplyDeleteI told you what I thought last night.
ReplyDeleteAll great responses above!
Hmm. I think they are both immature and I would just leave the situation alone. He wasn't kind enough to take the time to talk with you and exchange belongings........why does he deserve an ounce of your time now?
ReplyDeleteI would definitely just ignore this one. Interacting with his friend, if it really is his friend, could turn into something nasty. I think you're better off having nothing to do with Cy or his friends.
ReplyDeleteI'd probably just ignore it. Although I DO like Pinkflipflop's suggestion too!
ReplyDeleteAll such good suggestions! I'm no classy lady, but I'd go with something like, "Oh, I actually don't have them anymore. Sorry!" But I'd actually keep them for myself. And then maybe give them back in a million pieces. OR just say you donated them to the local shelter or something like that.
ReplyDeleteDont respond. No sense in wrapping this friend in useless drama.
ReplyDeleteWhat a loser to have to use his friend and contact you.
OMG, what a loser. Way to send his friend to do the dirty work. I would just ignore if. If the person emails you again, just say you actually do not have them any longer.
ReplyDeleteThis reminds me of a time in college when my friend & the guy she was dating broke up. She had wore a ratty old sweatshirt of his home one time. Months later, we were at a bar, and one of his friends was like - 'hey, you still have x's sweatshirt'. So my friend put it in a box and mailed it to him. What a loser move, though!
You are so much better than this guy, Amber! NEver forget that!
i don't think it is worth your time. ignore. you are better than that hot mess.
ReplyDeletesmiles,
gina
I wouldn't even respond. If he wants them back make him come to you and then you can be like I threw them out.
ReplyDeleteTotal coward.
ReplyDeleteIt's hard to know what I would do,but would suggest not even responding give him a peice of what he gave you.
Sorry you are dealing with this...
You really have need to respond. If its really that important he can always go out and buy them again.
ReplyDeleteAnd that should have said no need to respond! I hope you don't think I was trying to tell you that you need to respond :)
