Let's shred it!
So, I have given in to all the hype on the blogosphere and ordered Jillian Michael's 30 day Shred!
I have really slacked since last FALL on my activity level. I don't work in an office and am therefore moving most of the day, but when I get home I'm exhausted and the last thing I want to do is work out. I wouldn't call my job strenuous by any means, but I am on my feet all day. I don't think I need to lose a ton of weight, but I know I am borderline unhealthy and I want to take care of it!
I have to see for myself just how tough this is and if it really does get results! Many of you have done this, or are currently in the middle of it. What do you think? Have you seen results already? If you have finished, what do you think?
One more question. Did you need to purchase any equipment for the video? Hand weights? Anything like that? I just want to be prepared! :)
I hope it gets here soon, I'm excited to get started!!!
YAY! I cannot recommend this workout enough.
ReplyDeleteI have had the DVD since February and was doing it anywhere from 3-5 times a week. Then I decided to do the full 30 days in a row challenge, today was day 16 and I feel great!
Honestly, Amber, this DVD is SO good. You could never get that kind of 20 minute workout anywhere else. I have noticed that my arms, especially my shoulders, look way more sculpted and toned than before. And that DVD is ALL I do besides running and yoga.
You need a mat (if you have a hard floor, I have carpet so I don't use one) and hand weights. Now, the DVD says you only need one size of hand weights but I recommend you get 2 or 3. I have seven pound weights and they are just much too heavy for some of the shoulder moves and they are too light for some other moves. Ideally I would have 10 lbs, 7 lbs and 3 lb ones.
Good luck, I can't wait to hear what you think of it! Prepare to be sweating like crazy :-)
I still haven't tried it, but want to eventually. Esp since I do work in an office and spend most of the day sitting around. Can wait to hear how it works for you!
ReplyDeleteI do work in an office. I do sit on my butt 4 days a week. But I checked the reviews on Amazon and it says it is for advanced exercisers, and I am so not advanced. I am a casual, sporadic kind of exerciser who is sometimes really into her elliptical & sometimes not. Who takes yoga classes & then drops out. Who likes to pedal her bike around the neighborhood at a comfortable pace. Probably wouldn't be the right thing for me unless she was in the room with me kicking my butt!!
ReplyDeleteThe funny thing is, when I DID work in an office I hit the gym more often! Go figure! ;)
ReplyDeleteFun -- let me know how it goes I've been thinking about getting it!
